Timebox Privacy Policy

Timebox is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We believe your personal plans, schedules, and daily focus activities belong exclusively to you. This Privacy Policy details how data is handled when you use the Timebox Chrome Extension.

All tasks, subtasks, descriptions, timer configurations, session history, and focus statistics created within Timebox are saved strictly locally on your device using browser local storage (chrome.storage.local).

Timebox requests only the minimal set of browser permissions necessary to deliver core focus and timeboxing functionality:

• storage: Used to store your tasks, timer presets, themes, and focus session records locally on your device.
• alarms: Used to manage focus countdown timers and trigger break notifications in the background.
• notifications: Used to alert you with system desktop notifications when a focus session or break timer completes.
• offscreen: Used to play subtle audio chime notifications when a focus session finishes while the popup window is closed.

We collect aggregate, anonymous product analytics via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Yandex Metrika to monitor extension stability, measure feature usage, and refine overall user experience. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII), no task titles, and no personal content. We do not sell or monetize user data.

Timebox strictly complies with Chrome Web Store Manifest V3 guidelines. No remote scripts, external executable code, or dynamic evaluations (eval/Function) are executed. All JavaScript and styling assets are fully packaged within the extension zip file.

You retain full control over your data. Clearing your browser's extension data or uninstalling the Timebox extension permanently removes all stored tasks, settings, and focus session records from your device immediately.
